2021 POTOMAC STORM TRYOUTS WERE THE LARGEST IN CLUB HISTORY

POTOMAC STORM

Content

Doug Beal, a three-time Olympic coach, summed it up simply, The best players are those who play the best…”. Since we play a ton more in training than in a match, you must play the best in practice to earn a spot in competition.

The stronger the team and level of play, the smaller the difference between a starter and a bench player when competition rolls around. Only half of our 12-player Olympic rosters are on the court during a match. The others are watching from the sidelines.

GREAT ARTICLE FOR PARENTS AND PLAYERS

Club Dues Are For Facility Rents and Improvement Expenses, Coaches Stipends, Club Director's Stipend, Equipment Costs, Tournament Entry & Hosting Fees, Practice/Training Time, and all other Club Operating Expenses. If a Parent/Player accepts a position and then, for any reason, refuses and/or fails to participate in the Potomac Storm Volleyball Club's program and follow ALL Potomac Storm Volleyball Club rules and policies, it is understood that NO REFUND shall be required to be paid by Potomac Storm Volleyball Club.

Being selected for a team DOES NOT guarantee that a player will start and/or play in tournaments. Starting positions and tournament playing time are earned in practice, scrimmages, & tournaments and determined according to the opinions of the Potomac Storm VBC staff..

Coaches will determine, based on stats, attitude, attendance, and adherence to rules, which players have earned the starting positions and tournament playing time.
