WHAT DOCUMENTS YOU SHOULD BRING TO TRYOUTS

Chesapeake Region (CHRVA) requires ALL players to register with USAV BEFORE they can try out for a CHRVA club.

HAVE YOUR PLAYER'S CHRVA/USAV MEMBERSHIP PRIOR TO ARRIVING FOR TRYOUTS
1. Go to sportsengine.com and click on the "Sign In" at the top right and create an account for yourself as the parent. Do this on a computer (It is much easier than trying on your cell phone). ONE PARENT creates an account for themselves on Sports Engine. The primary account MUST be a parent/guardian. You then purchase a membership and ADD CHILD when asked who the membership is for. Remember - You MUST use the same email address for your Sports Engine account AND CHRVA/USA membership account.

3. Scroll down and find the correct junior membership for your child. Make sure you select the proper type (girls or boys). Click the word "register" next to the membership that fits.
4. Type in your child's information when asked who the membership is for. You will create an account for your child during this process.
5. After purchasing a membership, you will receive emails. Next, login into your Sports Engine account, go to Household, click on your child's profile, click on Chesapeake icon details. You can see the membership # and can print a membership card.
*The full time ANNUAL membership is $55. There is an option to purchase a 10 day TRYOUT membership for $25, that will need to be upgraded to a full time ANNUAL membership once you have joined a team. If you select the tryout membership, make sure the dates cover thru the TRYOUT DATES that you plan to attend.
Use the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS (PARENT's email) for your Sports Engine account and CHRVA/USA membership account.

TRYOUT TIPS
- Please show up 30 minutes early in order to get through registration - DOCS - TRYOUT NUMBERS - ETC
- HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE, BE WELL RESTED, FOLLOW COACHES INSTRUCTIONS, BE POSITIVE, & HAVE FUN
- NO SPECTATORS INSIDE DURING TRYOUTS. BATHROOMS ARE INSIDE IF YOU NEED TO USE THEM BUT YOU MUST EXIT AFTER USING BATHROOM. COACHES WILL BE RUNNING 2 COURTS. PSVBC STAFF WILL SPEAK TO THE PARENTS OF PLAYERS WHO HAVE RECEIVED OFFERS, AFTER THE OFFER IS MADE.
- Once offers are made, you will have until the end of the open tryout period to make your decision. If we do not hear back from you, we will offer the next person on the wait list. Offers are good until Tuesday, November 7 at 10:00pm for all age groups. PLAYERS MAY ACCEPT THEIR OFFERS BY HAVING THEIR PARENT SIGN THE ACCEPTANCE SHEET.
- PRACTICE PLAYER offers are NOT HELD until the end of open tryouts, in accordance with CHRVA rules, and must be accepted or rejected at the time of the offer.
- If you are given an offer for a rostered position and decide to play for another club, please let us know ASAP so that we can offer the position to another player on that team's wait list.
- If you are on the wait list, please be patient. We understand how stressful this process is and appreciate your patience and understanding!
2025-26 SEASON JUNIOR PLAYER AGE DEFINITIONS
ATTENTION WV HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES
Per WVSSAC, a WV high school athlete's PARENTS are able to register, receive, and accept/deny offers from a travel volleyball club, on behalf of their WV high school athlete. Upon acceptance of an offer, Potomac Storm VBC will have no additional communication with the parents and athletes until the player's WV high school season ends, ensuring the player's eligibility is not jeopardized. YOU MUST REGISTER TO RECEIVE AN OFFER.
